You can make par on a golf course using just a seven iron and a putter. If you have the skill, you can even use a seven iron to get your ball between 170 and 225 yards. Some golf courses do not have more than 200 yards length, but for more than that distance the 7 iron is not advised. If you can hit it that far and with a high degree of accuracy then maybe a career as a professional golfer isn't too far off!

This is the way to shoot par on a long hole with your seven iron. If your distance is no more than 200 feet use the seven iron for the drive. For your approach shot on the golf course, now use the same. Depending on the space between your ball and hole, you'll want to either take a full big swing or cut it. The distance will dictate is you want the ball to be in front of behind your stance. For lesser distances that need control put it in front and behind of those times you want some air.

If you're still off the green continue to use the seven iron as a way to chip the ball and get it there. When planning on chipping the ball with this particular club, close the stance and stick the ball towards the back of it. If you do not cut your swing you will end up over shooting the green. Once you are on the green, put the seven iron away. You should not putt with a club even though Kevin Costner did this on his golf course round in his film "Tin Cup" albeit with the aid of special effects.
